Steve Thomson was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a town distinguished not only for being the home of the University of Michigan but also for having the most book stores per capita on the entire planet earth. This sparked his passion for writing and he began to script various short stories and feature length screenplays. But ironically what become most popular were his short comedic rambling which were born in the bathroom of his college co-op. His accolades at the University of Michigan include the Connie P. Olestat award for best screenplay for Satan Superstar a satirical piece poking fun at a televangelist who preaches for Satan. After graduating from college, Steve immediately moved to New York City where he worked in film and commercial production. Working on large scale productions such as Comedy Centrals Friars Roast and Premium Blend to independent films such as Party Monster, he learned the in and outs of the industry from the bottom up. Implementing his knowledge from production, he continued to write numerous screenplays and short comedy sketches. As a writer for the Outrageous Rages, he helped to produce the short lived off-off Broadway comedy show along with its spin off The Pompous Playas. He has been awarded the Grant Freeley prize for outstanding work in comedy/short script category and the silver medal in the Village Forum Film Festival for his feature length script Octopus. He met Mike while working at MTV and together created the sketch comedy show Nothing's On in 2006.
Born in L.I., New York, Michael Kecki began his career in entertainment at a young age. Shy and introverted in school, he found acting as the perfect release. Not only did he perform in school, but he likewise performed professionally in national commercial spots and print ads. Later he found a new release in comedy and began writing in while attending Hunter College in Manhattan. There wrote humorous pieces that satirized the overly politically correct campus that appeared in a short editorial column in the school paper. However, it was quickly pulled after the paper received numerous complaints about the content. Not to be stopped, Mike continued to publish his column using his home computer and the new distribution medium called the Internet. Soon ‘Mike’s Mayhem’ had over three hundred students on the email list and according to him at least two of them found it funny. Graduating college, Mike armed with a little more than two VCRs connected together, started his own production company called Flying Blind Productions. He was credited as an executive producer, however, his actual duties included everything from writing, acting, directing, sound editing, lighting, and even fetching his own coffee. Flying Blind caused a little sensation when their short films received numerous accolades in regional festivals, including a spot in the Aspen Film Festival. However, due to financial limitations the company folded in the spring of 2003. This is when Mike brought his unique talents and vision to form and create the sketch comedy show Nothing’s On.
